Home / Philosophy of Probability

The concept of probability plays a major role in modern science and contemporary philosophy. While there is a wide consensus about the formal theory of probability, there is no agreement on its exact interpretation. We shall review various interpretations of probability. In light of this review, we shall consider applications of probability in science as well as in philosophical analyses of causation, randomness, statistical inference, rationality and scientific methodology.
