Philosophy of Science Classics

The goal of this reading group is to introduce graduate and select undergraduate students to the key conceptions of the philosophy of science, including those of Popper, Kuhn, Lakatos, Feyerabend, and Laudan – the classics of the genre, who are responsible for some of the best moments of this discipline. We will be reading short pieces by and on the classics and will be gathering every Thursday of the Fall semester to discuss their ideas in a friendly atmosphere over a cup of coffee or tea. All members of the IHPST community are invited to drop in the Common Room on Thursdays from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. if they wish to join the reading group discussions.
