The IHPST is delighted to welcome Dr. Nicolas Rasmussen as the leader of our Research Seminar.
Rasmussen is Professor of History & Philosophy of Science at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He is a historian of medicine and life sciences, with degrees in History & Philosophy of Science (MPhil, Cambridge, 1987), Biological Sciences (PhD, Stanford, 1992), and Public Health (MPH, Sydney University Medical School, 2007). He has published widely, including the following books:

In the research seminar, we will be discussing his article: “Group Weight Loss and Multiple Screening: A Tale of Two Heart Disease Programs and the Problems of Postwar American Public Health.”
