Andrew Jones completed both his BA in History and Philosophy of Science and his MA in Philosophy/Science and Technology Studies at the University of British Columbia. He is now a PhD student at the IHPST. His interests include Philosophy of Medicine, Philosophy of Cognitive Science, and Philosophy of Psychiatry. In particular, Andrew focuses on philosophical issues within the re-emerging field of psychedelic medicine, such as clarifying the understanding of the mechanisms through which psychedelics achieve therapeutic efficacy. He is also interested in debates about how the quality of medical evidence should be evaluated.
