I am a first year PhD student at the IHPST. Before joining the department, I completed a BA in Philosophy at McGill University and an MPhil in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge. My research focuses on the history and philosophy of biology, particularly the history of the concept of the organism. I am interested in the historical interplay between conceptions of living beings and conceptions of mind, along with their respective places (or lack thereof) in particular conceptions of nature. My ultimate aim is to bring these historical investigations into dialogue with contemporary philosophy of mind and biology.
